We design, install, inspect, and service fire protection and security solutions for industrial, commercial, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and municipal organizations across the Northeast.
Our continued growth reflects our commitment to delivering trusted service and expanded capabilities. In 2024, Approved Fire Protection welcomed Abel Fire into the organization, expanding our fire protection services throughout Pennsylvania. In 2025, we further strengthened our life-safety portfolio with the acquisition of Electronic Security & Communications Corp. (ESCC), bringing industry-leading security, access control, and surveillance expertise serving the New York metropolitan area.
Today, Approved Fire Protection & Security delivers fully integrated life-safety solutions across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, combining decades of fire protection expertise with advanced security technologies to protect the buildings and communities we serve.
In 1930 Roswell Bolen started a small business in his garage servicing and inspecting fire extinguishers for local companies and fire departments. The business grew organically for several years before Roswell realized he needed more space and more employees. In 1950 he moved the business to 911 Route 22 in North Plainfield where the company began flourishing. He acquired some route vehicles to begin the onsite service we are well known for today.
